Just a reminder the opening reception for the HPKY Trunk Show takes place this evening from 6-8.  10% off all of their amazing kits. That is, 10% off those that are left by tonight...  To those who have already taken home a new project, thanks - to those who haven't seen the show yet, one word - hurry!    Special orders will be available, but take time and cost more so come on in and get started on your holiday knitting or something to spoil yourself while we still have a good selection.  Some lucky shopper could win a 40% off door prize! Here's a tease to show you some of what we have to show you...

Sorry I didn't get a chance to tell you about the Shop Hop in Denton last Thursday evening.  It was great fun - made some new fiber friends and renewed acquaintance with others.  Thanks to the ladies of the Quilt Guild for all the hard work.  It was a great venue and went off without a hitch from my limited perspective.   Plans are already underway for next year's event and IYB will happily take part.

Hi There,  My name is Sue Pilsch.  I'm a transplanted New Englander who opened IYB  several years ago on Kent Island.    I've been knitting so long I  remember when there were only a couple of weights of yarn available in limited colors, but my passion - despite forays into various other needle arts over the years - remains undimmed (some would say untamed).
Being surrounded by magnificent colors and textures all day every day is truly a dream, and I am also lucky enough to have a husband who, while he doesn't share my passion for all things fiber, puts up with and supports it to an amazing degree.   Most important, he  always seems to know exactly when to let me run free and when to rein me in.  Thanks for that, Marty!
Here in the blog I hope to share my journey as a LYS owner as well as the excitement I feel each and every time the UPS delivery man brings me another box of goodies for the shop.   I'm hoping some of you will also take the time to provide some creative feedback which I always appreciate.
So far my greatest problem at the shop  has been which pattern to develop in which yarn and with that as my biggest issue, life is very, very good here at IYB.  Hope you'll enjoy my musings and come back often.
    Take good care, Sue
